What is an "admission hook"?  It is what makes you different from the thousands of applications a college receives.  It is a reason for an admission officer to fish you out and accept you.  This site is dedicated to helping you craft your admission hook.  Have fun reading through other student's essays, and then you can decide if they have a hook.  Submit several versions of your own essay, and see which one gets the most positive response. Remember, the best essay is an essay that only you could have written, so copying will not help you.  It will actually hurt you, as admission officers are trained professionals who can sense when something is wrong with a student's file.  Besides, they have the same access to this site that you do, so they can easily check and see if you have copied an essay.  Use this site to get ideas, but not to get an essay.
